Your child's privacy is our highest priority. Planet Of Tales is designed with children's safety at the core. We do not sell personal data, we do not display third-party advertising, and we comply fully with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act), GDPR, and Apple's App Store privacy guidelines.

2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the app experience:
- Child Profile Name: A first name or nickname you choose for your child's profile. Profile data is stored only on your device. However, your child's name and any pet name you provide are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) with each story generation request, solely to personalise the story text.
- Photos and Camera Data: When you use the object-scanning feature, photos are sent to our AI model (OpenAI GPT) solely to detect objects and generate story content. Photos are not stored on our servers after processing is complete.
- Story Content: Generated stories and associated metadata (title, characters, age range) are stored in your account on our secure server to power the story library feature.
- Device Identifier: A unique, anonymous device identifier is used to associate your stories with your device. It is not linked to your real identity.
- Purchase Information: In-app purchase status (whether a Premium subscription is active) is managed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect full names, email addresses, or contact information from children.
- We do not collect precise geolocation data.
- We do not collect health or fitness data.
- We do not display behavioural advertising.
- We do not track users across third-party apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with data brokers or advertisers.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use information solely to generate personalised AI stories based on objects detected in photos, store and retrieve your story library, provide narration audio via Google Text-to-Speech, verify Premium subscription status, and respond to customer support enquiries.
5. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third parties who process data solely as needed to deliver the service: OpenAI, Google Cloud Text-to-Speech, RevenueCat and Apple App Store. None of these services are authorised to use your data for advertising or any purpose beyond delivering the specific functionality described above.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Planet Of Tales is designed for children. We comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent international laws. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. The app is operated under parental supervision. If you believe a child has provided personal information without consent, contact us at privacy@planetoftales.com and we will delete it immediately.
7. Data Retention
Story data is retained for as long as your account is active so you can access your library. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting privacy@planetoftales.com. We will fulfil deletion requests within 30 days.
8. Data Security
We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information.
9. Your Rights

10. Cookies and Analytics
The Planet Of Tales mobile app does not use cookies. Our website uses only essential first-party storage and does not deploy third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you within the app and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
